The Journey Map.
Thirty-one volumes, one row each. See what has been opened, what has been passed, and what is left.
The course runs from bytes to frontier models in thirty-one volumes and eight parts: the model, pretraining, infrastructure, post-training, evaluation and inference, agents and environments, inside the model and the frontier, and this last volume of history and projects. Each row below is a volume, and each cell a plate.
A cell is marked when the plate has been opened in this browser and filled when its knowledge check has been answered with at least eight of ten correct. Nothing is sent anywhere: progress lives in this browser’s storage, and clearing it starts the map again.
Below: the map. Each cell links to its plate; hovering shows the plate’s name.

Routes through the course
The five threads marked on every plate — architecture, data, compute, learning and evaluation — are one way to plan a route: a reader interested in systems can follow C through Vols. XIII–XVI and XXIII–XXIV; one interested in training, L through Vols. III, XI, XVII–XX and XXVI. The drills at the end of each volume, and the course-wide misreadings before this plate, are the quickest way to find what has not stuck.
The projects of this volume are the end of the main route: each asks for a design that meets a brief, using what the volumes before it taught, and is graded by the same engines that drew the plates. A passed project is saved beside the progress shown here.
